The intake variable cam timing (iVCT) technology offers improved performance on low-end acceleration and high-end power. The SE and Titanium models offer a 1.5L EcoBoost® engine with Auto Start-Stop to help conserve fuel. The Titanium has the option for a 2.0 EcoBoost® engine with Auto Start-Stop Technology as well.
The 2017 Ford Escape earned the Overall 5-Star Crash Safety Rating by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The Escape comes with Standard AdvanceTrac®, Roll Stability Control® and Curve Control to help slow you down when it senses you’re going too fast for a curve or turn. Features such as the Tire Pressure Monitoring System and more are also included.
Climate Control Features
To combat the harsh winters, Ford took all of their customers’ feedback for which climate control features they wanted in their Ford SUV. Ford went ahead and heated everything people wanted to be heated in the 2017 Ford Escape. The steering wheel, side mirrors, windshield wipers and seats are all designed to warm you up and remove ice and snow that hampers vision in the winter weather. The 2017 Ford Escape can also be remote-started through the FordPass® Smartphone app so you don’t have to sit in a cold car waiting for it to heat up.
