The snow and cold weather can make you feel like you’re trapped inside your home. Today, we are going to provide you with some things to do this winter in Carbon County, PA. Keep reading to find some things to do with family or friends.

Best places to go this winter

  • Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway. If you like enjoy the natural beauty of an area, this is a good choice for you. This train ride takes you through the local hills. A speaker will narrate the trip and inform you about the local area.
  • Lakota Wolf Preserve. If you, or your children, are interested in animals, this a fun place to visit. The owners will provide their knowledge of the wolves, foxes, lynxes and bobcats that they take care of. If you can handle the cold, explore the preserve by hiking or taking the shuttle bus.
  • No. 9 Coal Mine & Museum. If you have never explored a mining cave, this is a popular place to do that. Take a tour through the mine and learn about the history of the caves. At point in the tour, they turn off the lights so you can experience true darkness.
  • E5C4PE.  If you like a challenge, come and visit this Escape Room. They have four different rooms for you and your group to choose from. Difficulty ranges from 4 out of 10 to 9 out of time. Your group will have 60 minutes to figure out how to escape.
