auto mechanic fixing brake disc
  1. Your brake pads need to be replaced. If you hear a high pitched squealing when you brake, your brake pads have worn down and are rubbing against the rotor. If you hear the sound of metal grinding coming from your brakes, your brake pads have completely worn down. Make sure to get your brake pads replaced as soon as possible.
  2. You need your power steering system fixed. If you hear groaning or whining when you turn, something with your power steering is causing friction. If you hear squeaking when you turn, this is a sign that your power-steering fluid is low. Be sure to get this fixed soon as this can become a major safety issue.
  3. You need a new serpentine belt. If you hear squealing coming from under the hood, this is a sign that your serpentine belt is loose or worn. Schedule an appointment immediately to get this issue fixed.
  4. You need a new battery. If you hear something that sounds like an angry cat when you start your engine, your battery is dying and struggling to start the engine. This isn’t a safety concern but can be become an inconvenience if you don’t get a new battery soon.
